Introducing Full Disclosure

Full Disclosure is an effort to provide the Lewis & Clark community with an avenue to express opinions, experiences, and ideas about identity and culture. Often, we don’t realize that culture isn’t merely an expression of race or ethnicity; culture can encompass spirituality, sexuality, gender expression, politics—really anything, immediately recognizable or not, that connects people and can be shared with others.

Through Full Disclosure, the Pluralism & Unity board hopes to create a safe space for dialogue in which members of the community can feel uninhibited by social norms, fear of discomfort, and social taboo. So long as opinions are earnest and expressed in a respectful way, we give full, censorship-free reign to the LC community to express their thoughts and responses to visual and written prompts that we will display on campus as well as through online social networking platforms. Our goal is to facilitate an ongoing dialogue about diversity, identity, and social justice.
